Welcome to MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute

Thank you for choosing MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute for your liver transplant or living donation. As one of the region’s largest liver transplant centers, we perform more than 120 transplants each year, delivering outcomes that consistently exceed the national average.

To help you prepare, we offer interactive learning tools with important information about the transplant and donation process. Reviewing these materials in advance will give you a better understanding of what to expect and help you play an active role in your care.

Transplant education video

Before your in-person evaluation, please watch our 30-minute liver transplant education video. We also encourage your support person—or anyone involved in your care—to watch it as well.

Afterward, our team will be happy to answer any questions during your clinic visit.
