Our neurorehabilitation center is conveniently located on the first floor of MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital where nationally recognized experts research the brain and nervous system. This close proximity allows us to design new and innovative therapy plans for our adult and pediatric patients who are recovering from complex brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and neurological diseases.

Hours of operation:
Monday to Thursday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Alyssa Bleimeyer, MS, CCC-SLP
Alyssa Bleimeyer earned her bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology and deaf studies from Towson University. She also completed her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Gallaudet University. Jane Alkhazov, PT, DPT, NCS
Jane Alkhazov received her bachelor's in clinical health studies and doctorate in physical therapy from Ithaca College. She then went on to complete a Neurologic physical therapy residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport where she conducted research on the use of blood flow restriction training in neurologic populations. She has presented her research nationally. Jane’s rehabilitation specialties include:

Angela Bartoe, PTA
Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Penn State University and an Associates of Applied Science from AACC CACHE PTA Program. MedStar Neurological Mentorship Program for amputee and stroke recovery.
Angela Bartoe received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University. Angela completed her associates of applied science degree in physical therapy from AACC CACHE Program. Angela is currently working in the Neuro rehabilitation track with MedStar Neurological Mentorship Program. Angela is working to enhance her neurological rehabilitation skills for working with the SCI, TBI, and CVA patient population as well as prosthetic training and amputees.

Emily Costa received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and biology from Iowa State University. Emily completed her doctoral degree in occupational therapy from Creighton University. Emily specializes in spinal cord injury and disease, concussion, stroke, and FND.
Emily grew up in in the Twin Cities, Minnesota and moved out to the DMV after grad school. Emily enjoys baking, playing volleyball at Lincoln sand courts, going to concerts/shows, trying out new restaurants, and participating in triathlons!
