Insurance

We proudly accept most major health plans. The list below serves as a guide and is subject to change. If you are unsure about your coverage, please call your insurance provider. Insurance is collected prior to scheduling services.

Direct Access

With certain open access insurance plans, you can start physical therapy without a doctor’s referral. This means you can save time, begin treatment right away, and take the first step toward recovery and better mobility, without unnecessary delays.

  • What is direct access?

Direct access means you can see certain healthcare providers, like physical or occupational therapists, without needing a referral or prescription from your doctor. Our administrative team can help confirm if a referral is needed based on your insurance plan.

  • Are there specific conditions or specialties where direct access applies?

Yes. Physical and occupational therapists are trained to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal conditions. They can also determine if your condition requires further evaluation from another specialist.

  • Do I need insurance approval for direct access?

Many insurance plans allow you to see a physical or occupational therapist without a referral. However, coverage depends on your plan and whether our clinic participates with your insurance. Our administrative team can verify your benefits and provide a courtesy summary of your therapy coverage.

  • Will it cost more to see a specialist directly?

Usually not. In fact, direct access can lower your overall healthcare costs by eliminating unnecessary doctor visits or extra specialist appointments.

  • Are there risks to seeing a therapist without a referral?

No added risks. Therapists are specifically trained to recognize when a condition needs further evaluation, and they will refer you to the appropriate provider if necessary.

  • Will the specialist communicate with my primary care doctor?

Yes. With your permission, we can share information about your treatment with your primary care provider.
