About me
Tim Malone, MD, is a fellowship-trained neurologist who is dual board certified in clinical neurophysiology and neurology. Specializing in neurophysiology, Dr. Malone treats patients experiencing nerve and muscle disorders, including myasthenia gravis, as well as metabolic and immune mediated muscle disorders. He also diagnoses and treats chronic headaches, migraines, and cluster headaches using comprehensive neurological evaluations, advanced imaging and diagnostic testing, and individualized treatment options—including custom Botox® injections and nerve blocks—to help prevent and manage severe headache pain.
Through his military service with the U.S. Army, Dr. Malone gained significant experience treating patients with traumatic nerve injuries and coordinating reconnection surgeries.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Malone believes exceptional care begins with listening to every patient’s unique story and taking the time to understand their symptoms, concerns, goals, and experiences. When it comes to the practice of neurophysiology, it is a complex specialty, but it is that complexity and puzzle aspect that Dr. Malone thoroughly appreciates. He strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions, which he believes is essential to providing the right diagnosis and treatment.
Education & Training
Dr. Malone earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in neurology and his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and has served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
Dr. Malone has been published in numerous peer-reviewed articles and received many military awards for his service. He previously served as an assistant professor of neurology at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, and was recognized for his dedication to teaching, having been named the Neurology Educator of the Year twice by Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
Dr. Malone is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
