About me
Richard Paul Jones II, MD, is a board-eligible cardiac electrophysiologist practicing at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
Dr. Jones treats all heart rhythm issues, including atrial arrhythmias, like PSVT, atrial flutters, and atrial fibrillation; and ventricular arrhythmias, like ventricular tachycardia. He performs ablation procedures for all heart rhythm issues, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and left atrial appendage closures with Watchman and Amulet.
Electrophysiology is a growing and dynamic field, and Dr. Jones is enthusiastic about new developments such as left bundle branch pacing and pulse field ablation for the treatment of arrhythmias. Dr. Jones performs left bundle area pacing and has participated in pulse-field ablation clinical trials.
He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
