Peter Jeffrey Sloane, MD is Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (MUMH) and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital (MGSH). He was named a Top Doctor in Baltimore magazine for Intensivists/Critical Care, Pulmonary in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Dr. Sloane was a prior National Institute of Health National Research Service Award recipient and was awarded the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in 1993 and 2006. Dr. Sloane was a site investigator for the National Institutes of Health's "ARDSNet" (acute respiratory distress syndrome network). He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and has contributed 15 peer-reviewed journal articles to the medical literature. He served as Chief of Staff at MUMH between 2008 and 2011 and was a member of the Board Directors at MUMH between 2008 and 2020.
