About me
Dr. Turki is a board-certified, fellowship-trained gastroenterologist experienced in a wide range of advanced endoscopy procedures for the pancreas, bile ducts, liver, gastrointestinal tract, and esophagus.
He treats patients with bile duct stones, biliary strictures, cancer of the pancreas and gallbladder, pancreatic cysts, chronic pancreatitis, swallowing disorders, gastroparesis, large and complex gastrointestinal polyps, early gastrointestinal cancers, Barrett’s esophagus, benign or malignant gastrointestinal strictures and luminal obstruction, patients who need advanced endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided interventions, and patients being considered for endoscopic weight-loss therapy.
Dr. Turki earned his medical degree at the Faculté de Médecine de Tunis in Tunisia and completed his residency at United Health Services in Binghamton, New York. He completed two fellowships—one in gastroenterology at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and one in advanced endoscopy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Turki believes in patient-centered care built on clear communication, shared decision-making, and close collaboration among specialists. His goal is to help each patient understand their options and, whenever appropriate, offer minimally invasive endoscopic therapies that can achieve effective treatment while reducing the need for more invasive surgery.
When he’s not working, Dr. Turki enjoys running, playing tennis, and traveling. He also has a longstanding passion for medical innovation and enjoys developing new devices and technologies aimed at improving endoscopic care.
