Merlene Horan, MD, is committed to building deeper, stronger doctor-patient relationships as part of Signature by MedStar Health. Dr. Horan delivers personalized, high-touch, accessible, and comprehensive Concierge Medicine. Partnering with her patients and understanding their personal and family history, she will create individualized care plans tailored to meet their health needs. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a Family Medicine physician caring for and delivering exceptional care to clientele. A decorated Navy officer, former White House physician, and physician to the First Lady, Dr. Horan delivered care domestically and internationally to the President, Vice President, First Lady, Second Lady, their families, and cabinet members. While providing care at the highest levels of executive medicine, she acquired a unique understanding of the healthcare needs of individuals with high-pressure jobs and schedules, and the often-unacknowledged challenges they face in prioritizing and optimizing their health. Having held top secret and White House security clearances, she delivers care with the utmost attention to privacy and confidentiality. Dr. Horan looks forward to helping her patient on their journey to achieve better health outcomes.
