About me
Matthew P. Schreiber, MD, is a board-certified physician in the Department of Critical Care Medicine and is the medical director of a Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He also serves as chair of the hospital’s Ethics Committee for the John J. Lynch Center for Ethics.
Dr. Schreiber received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, at MedStar Washington. He also graduated with a Master of Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
An active member of several clinical and quality committees at the hospital, Dr. Schreiber has conducted research on pneumonia, delirium, and ICU outcomes that have been published in peer-one reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters. Dr. Schreiber is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Thoracic Society.
