Jeffrey Y. Lin, M.D., is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist in the Department of Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. With more than 30 years of experience, he specializes in treating cancerous and noncancerous conditions of the female reproductive system, such as ovarian and fallopian tube, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers, severe endometriosis, and other complex gynecologic conditions.
Dr. Lin is highly skilled in open abdominal surgery and advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures. He has extensive experience with radical debulking procedures for ovarian cancer and pelvic exenteration and reconstruction. In addition to his clinical work, he is also a consultant on the role of AI and machine learning in medical practice and surgery.
Before joining MedStar, Dr. Lin served as Director of Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Surgery for the Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service at Sibley Memorial Hospital. His previous academic appointments include Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Clinical Professor, Vice Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Chief Gynecologic Surgeon at George Washington University.
At MedStar Health, Dr. Lin is dedicated to expanding the gynecologic cancer care program. Globally, he is committed to educating and consulting on women's health services in China, South Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Dr. Lin is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys being outdoors, art, traveling, and cooking.
