About me
Jeff Chilcote, MD, is a board-certified cardiovascular physician practicing at at MedStar Health Cardiology at Annapolis and MedStar Health Cardiology at Bowie. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society.
With a special interest in heart failure medicine, Dr. Chilcote treats the entire spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, lipid disorders, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias.
Dr. Chilcote’s approach combines medical therapy, preventive strategies, and advanced imaging, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, to deliver evidence-based, personalized treatment plans. He emphasizes educating patients in healthy lifestyle choices to reduce and prevent long-term cardiovascular risk and disease. Dr. Chilcote is known for his excellent bedside manner and strives to implement the best approach for each patient.
He has researched heart failure and advanced treatment strategies that improve patients' quality of life and outcomes and published in several peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Cardiac Failure. In his practice, Dr. Chilcote strives to expand access to advanced heart failure management and preventive cardiology services, helping patients manage risk factors to prevent serious heart and vascular disease.
Dr. Chilcote completed his medical degree and residency training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine/non-invasive cardiology at the Boston Medical Center.
Born in the same hospital where he now treats patients, Dr. Chilcote is honored and proud to serve his hometown community. Happily married with four children, he loves spending time with his family.
