About me
Jason Badillo, MMS, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with MedStar Health. In this role, he is responsible for caring for cardiology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Mr. Badillo evaluates and manages patients with acute cardiovascular conditions presenting to the emergency room and admitted to the hospital. His focus is on providing patients with a clear understanding of their condition and plan of care moving forward. In the outpatient setting, Mr. Badillo sees patients for a wide range of cardiac diseases including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, valvular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, among others. His clinical interest is focusing on preventative medicine and helping patients lower their cardiovascular risks.
Before joining MedStar Health in 2021, his previous experience includes 17 years as a cardiology physician assistant for a cardiology practice in Rockville Maryland working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. In addition, his role in the practice included work at the Center for Fitness and Health at Shady Grove Medical Center where he managed patients enrolled in both cardiac rehabilitation and patients enrolled in the Heart Failure Clinic. He also provided educational lectures for patients and staff and has participated as sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials.
