About me
Dr. Donna Buckley is an Associate Professor of Radiology in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular and non-vascular conditions.
Dr. Buckley earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed both her diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at Georgetown University Hospital, where she subsequently joined the faculty.
In addition to her medical training, Dr. Buckley holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has 30 years of experience in medical device innovation and regulatory science. She continues to work at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, where she contributed to the evaluation and advancement of emerging interventional technologies.
A committed educator and academic, Dr. Buckley has served as an instructor for college engineering courses and is currently active in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents at Georgetown. She is a member of both Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society, and Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma, national engineering honor societies, reflecting her excellence across disciplines.
Dr. Buckley is licensed to practice medicine in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Her clinical interests include peripheral arterial disease, venous interventions, embolization therapies, and the development of novel interventional techniques and devices.
