About me
Brendan Dempsey, MD, MS is a fellowship trained physician specializing in sports medicine. He sees his patients in Annapolis and at MedStar Harbor Hospital.
Dr. Dempsey is the head team physician for Goucher College, a team physician for Morgan State University, and a physician at MedStar Health Urgent Care.
As a sports medicine physician, Dr. Dempsey provides non-surgical care for active patients. From head to toe, he specializes in musculoskeletal injuries and non-operative orthopedic care.
Dr. Dempsey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and earned his medical degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He completed his Family Medicine Residency on the Sports Medicine Track with the Allegheny Health Network where he was elected Chief Resident.
He then went on to complete Sports Medicine Fellowship with the University of Maryland where he worked with the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, the Maryland Terrapins, UMBC Retrievers and the Coppin State Eagles.
He was named by the Pennsylvania Medical Society as a “Top 40 Physician Under 40.” He was inducted into AOA, the Medical Honors Society. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
