She is an expert surgeon trained in vaginal and minimally invasive surgery, and the Da Vinci® robotic surgery system.
Dedicated to advancing the field of Women’s Health, Dr. Dieter is an accomplished researcher. Her research focuses on optimizing treatment for pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, stress urinary incontinence, and surgical outcomes and perioperative care.
“Research enables me to use the highest quality evidence to deliver the best treatments to my patients.”
Dr. Dieter is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from MIT and her medical degree from Columbia University. She completed her internship in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York University and then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and an additional 3-year subspecialty fellowship in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Duke University. After completing her training, she was on the faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before joining MedStar Health in 2020.
Philosophy of Care
"My philosophy of care is grounded in my belief that everyone deserves a life that is fulfilling and rewarding. I became a Urogynecologist so that I could help women regain their quality of life and be able to focus on what matters to them most. It’s important to me that my patients feel comfortable and safe talking about their concerns and treatment goals. With open communication, we will work together to create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals to get you where you want to be."
