About me
Dr. Aron is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and serves as the Associate Program Director for the Nephrology Training Program. He has been a valued member of our faculty since 2023.
Prior to joining our division, Dr. Aron was a faculty member in the Division of Nephrology at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he was honored with the division’s Teaching Award. Earlier in his career, he served on faculty at Yale University School of Medicine where he led initiatives to advance nephrology education, including spearheading the development of a nephrology point-of-care ultrasound curriculum. Before pursuing nephrology fellowship training, Dr. Aron was on faculty at Harvard Medical School and worked as an oncology hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, gaining broad clinical experience across multiple disciplines.
His scholarly work includes reviews on practical genetic testing in kidney disease and has lectured on topics such as the effects of microgravity on renal salt and water handling, as well as genetic testing strategies for clinical nephrologists. An enthusiastic educator, Dr. Aron is actively involved in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and nephrology fellows, reflecting his passion for training the next generation of clinicians. His clinical interests focus on glomerular diseases and genetic kidney disorders. He currently serves on the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board for the IgA Nephropathy Foundation.
