Abhijit Bhatia, MD, is the chief of gastroenterology and director of endoscopy at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital/MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and fellowship trained in gastroenterology.
Dr. Bhatia specializes in general gastroenterology, including but not limited to, EGD, which allows diagnosis and treatment of problems in the upper gastrointestinal tract; Colonoscopy to check for colon cancer and colon polyps; Capsule endoscopy; Liver and gallbladder disease; Fatty liver disease; Hepatitis C.
