Who is a candidate for CCM?

CCM is especially helpful for people whose heart failure symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, or leg swelling continue despite heart medications or are worsening over time.

CCM therapy may also be appropriate for those with:

• Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) between 25% and 45%
• New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class III symptoms
• Symptoms persist despite guideline-directed medical therapy

*CCM is not indicated as a substitute for cardiac resynchronization (CRT).

How does CCM work?
